Women's Health
A broad range of women's health care services are provided at the Student Health Center. Services available on a walk in basis include treatment of gynecological problems, contraception, pregnancy testing, and screening/ treatment of sexually transmitted diseases. Colposcopic exam for the evaluation of abnormal pap smears is available by referral. "Well Woman Exams " which includes Pap smear, STD check, breast and limited physical exam are available by appointment. If you are enrolled in Family Pact "Well Woman Exams" are free.

Birth Control Services
The Health Center offers birth control services and information. Female students may receive oral contraceptives, diaphragms or Depo-Provera injections through the medical clinic. Some non-prescription contraceptives may be purchased at the Pharmacy.
Pregnancy Testing
This test is available for female students and is covered as part of the student health fee. If you are interested in having this test done, come into the Health Center and check in at the first floor reception desk.
Recommended Instructions for Pregnancy Test:
- Collect first morning urine specimen. You may come to the Student Health Center for a collection kit if desired.
- No fluids after your evening meal (for a concentrated specimen).
- To ensure accuracy, pregnancy testing must be done a minimum of 10 days following the last date of unprotected intercourse.
If the specimen is received by 10 a.m., the results will be available at 2:00 p.m. that day. You may either return to the Student Health Center for results or call 278-6461.
