7 -- THE SCIENCE EDUCATIONAL EQUITY LEARNING COMMUNITY

Biography:I was born in Lodi raised by my grandparents in Galt and am currently living in Rancho Cordova. I am a biology pre-med student minoring in chemistry and chicano studies. As a first generation college student it was hard to get access to the information I needed to get where I am today. I come from a family of farmworkers and for my grandparents a high school diploma was enough. For mea high school diploma was not enough, I believe there is a lack of representation of minorities in the health and science professions. As long as there is will and passion anything is possible.
