Elizabeth Keith Olmstead Memorial Scholarship
Professor Robert Olinstead and his wife have created this scholarship
ii1 memory of Professor Olmstead's mother, former librarian of Wellesley
College, collector of books, and lover of reading. The scholarship is
for two semesters totaling $2000, with $1000 being awarded each semester.
It is intended to recognize an outstanding English major who has demonstrated
a special talent in the study of literature.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD: $2000
ELIGIBILITY
- be an English major planning to receive a B.A in Spring 2000
- have completed a minimum of two semesters (24 units) of upper-division
work at CSUS with a minimum GPA of 3.50 ill upper division work
- enroll in a minimum of 12 units for each of the semesters of the
award
- have a minimum GPA of 3.50 to receive the award for a second semester
APPLICATION PROCESS:
- Provide a statement of purpose of no more than 500 words
- Provide two letters of recommendation from CSUS Professors
- Provide official transcripts
Applications may be picked up and submitted in the English Dept. Office
in Calaveras Hall, 104.
