Brief biography

Associate Professor Nalder’s current and recent research is on misinformation, voter knowledge, term limits, the Tea Party, campaign advertising, news coverage of elections, California politics, and the culture wars. Nalder is the founding Director of the Project for an Informed Electorate at the Institute for Social Research at Sacramento State, and a recent visiting scholar at the Institute of Governmental Studies at UC Berkeley. Nalder is also a board member for the Center for California Studies, and a two-time Field Institute Faculty Fellow. Nalder directs the Odyssey Mentoring Program in the Government Department.
