Naming Opportunities

Faculty Development Fund: Talented faculty are foundational to the physical therapy program. Support for a Faculty Development Fund will provide resources for instructors to enhance their knowledge through continued education, such as participation at conferences, and provide expanded support for their research which directly improves the educational experience for all students.

Scholarship Opportunities: Support for students through scholarships reduces enrollment expenses and allows students to focus on their studies. Scholarship funding opportunities include opportunities for:

  • Jancis Dennis Scholarship: Provides a merit-based award for second-year students interested in neurological rehabilitation.
  • Robert Larson Memorial Scholarship: Provides funds to assist non-traditional students returning to study physical therapy.
  • Sutter Healthcare Scholars: Supports students who have overcome significant obstacles as they
  • work toward their doctoral degree in physical therapy.
  • Susan Young McGinty Scholarship: Created in honor of Susan McGinty who was chair of the Department of Physical Therapy from 1996 to 2012, and supports students who have faced challenges as they work toward their degrees.
  • Establish a New Scholarship: With a gift of $10,000 or more, create an endowed scholarship that may be named in honor or recognition of an individual or organization.
