Our Mission

The Center for the Study of Criminology and Criminal Justice (CSCCJ) conducts research and evaluation at the local, state and federal levels to promote informed decision making and improved justice programs and policies.

Our Vision

The Center aims to

Engage in collaborative, multidisciplinary scholarship and creative activity to contribute to the understanding of issues of crime and justice;

Engage undergraduate and graduate students in research and creative activities that will enhance their educational experience and provide them with the skills needed as leaders in Criminal Justice;

Facilitate critical intellectual exchanges with the university community, policy makers and justice practitioners to foster increased knowledge of justice issues and collaboration around solutions.
