Athletic Training Education Program Admission Requirements

Completion of admission packet. This includes the following:

• Student information sheet

• Proof of minimum 2.80 GPA Minimum (GPA of 2.80 in overall, each semester and major in a minimum of 12 units toward the degree. 

• Two-page typed statement on a short biography, the individual’s goals in athletic training and athletic training experience

• Proof of current first aid, AED and CPR certification

• Two letters of recommendation from an athletic trainer, teacher, employer or supervisor

• Proof of current physical exam stating student is able to perform the duties of an athletic training student and is current in immunizations and testing

• Signed Technical Standards form

• Proof of professional liability insurance (See Program Director for details)
  

• Proof of hepatitis B immunization and TB testing
