Interim Director, Student Organizations & Leadership
Tom Carroll was selected to act as Interim Director of Student Organizations and Leadership in July 2013. He began his service at Sacramento State nine years ago when he was hired as the Greek Advisor of Student Activities. During this time, he was promoted to Student Organization Coordinator and then Assistant Director. He was part of a team that created and implemented both a paperless club registration process and the Leadership Initiative. During his employment at Sacramento State, he enrolled as a student and completed his master’s degree in Higher Educational Leadership.
Tom is originally from the Bay Area, and prior to working at Sacramento State he was a Program Advisor at California State University, East Bay. There he coordinated orientation, club recognition, and student life. He received degrees from Ohlone Community College and California State University, East Bay. While in college, he was heavily involved in campus activities as an editor for the university newspaper, music director for the campus, fraternity president, and member of the swimming team.
