Grand Master Tony Somera & members of the Bahala Na martial arts from the US & Europe gave a presentation in Dr. Sobredo's class on the important contributions of Sgt. Leo Giron to the martial arts world. At War's end, Sgt. Giron founded the Giron Arnis Escrima Filipino Martial Arts. As the organization's Grand Master, Giron was instrumental in bringing the Giron system of Filipino martial arts to practioners in the US and Europe. Today, with the leadership of Grand Master Somera, Bahala Na continues to promote the life and vision of Sgt. Giron. The event was co-sponsored by XPO Epsilon Chapter @ CSUS. March 19, 2004.
