Building Bridges, Zone by Zone.
In January, Facilities Services adopted a new approach to service delivery with the launch of the Zone Manager program. The program augments the department’s Customer Service function by placing managers with comprehensive knowledge of facilities operations out among the campus community. Four managers have been assigned to distinct zones and located on the central campus for greater access to customers and their zones, which is hoped to personalize services and create greater accountability. Associate Vice President Ali Izadian has seen the zone system succeed at other institutions, with demonstrated improvements in process efficiency and customer service.
Zone managers will not only assist customers with their work orders, but conduct building inspections to determine where improvements can be made to common areas and perform quality control inspections of work that has been completed. Senior Zone Manager Mark Leisz is located in the Brighton Hall Annex, with zone managers Eric McWilliams and Doug Power. Richard Mikeworth, the zone manager for Residential Life is located in Desmond Hall. Check the Zone Map to find your zone. Feel free to contact your zone manager by phone or e-mail:

The most efficient way to initiate a request for service or repair is still through the online work order system - http://www.csus.edu/aba/facilities/Service-Request/index.html.
- Service and Repair
- Key issue
- Project Notification
Zone managers will communicate with customers, when necessary, to obtain the information needed to complete work orders, and will act on behalf of customers to follow up on work orders and monitor work backlogs for buildings they oversee.
The central Customer Service Office staff is still available to handle emergencies and issue keys at (916) 278-6242, or firstname.lastname@example.org
