Business Partners' Roundtable - Helping Business Staff Succeed

bprt
The Business Partners’ Round Table (BPRT) held its last meeting of the fiscal year on April 17, 2014. BPRT is ABA’s primary communication venue for sharing information with campus business professionals. It also serves as an excellent feedback system to help ABA design its processes and services in the most customer-friendly way.

Quarterly meetings inform University staff with business roles how to more easily navigate financial and business systems, by sharing helpful information and resources and changes in policy, procedure and compliance requirements. Meeting topics include audit, insurance, travel, budget, purchasing, safety and more. Speakers from outside of ABA are often invited to discuss matters of interest to BPRT members.

bprtAlmost 10 years old this year, BPRT has sustained a membership of around 400, with well-attended quarterly meetings. Presentations help business partners make sound decisions and practice good stewardship.

Members are encouraged to pitch in with ideas to help ABA simplify processes for users, and feedback has resulted in many improved processes, simplified business transactions, and elimination of unnecessary steps and services.

bprtBPRT is supplemented by the Business Matters at Sac State (BMSS) website, which is a repository of the most up-to-date information to assist campus partners in their roles as public stewards. The website contains simple guidelines for conducting business transactions with Sac State.

If you are not a member of the BPRT mailing list, email Priscilla Llamas-McKaughan to join. Visit the BPRT website for more information about upcoming meetings, agenda items, and past presentations.
