2006 NACUBO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AWARD

Sacramento State Associate Vice President for Finance Suzanne Green received the NACUBO 2006 award for Professional Development in July. NACUBO is the National Association for College and University Business Officers.  The national award recognizes college and university business professionals for notable contributions to NACUBO’s professional development program.

Green has been active for many years in the western regional association WACUBO as a member and chair of the Professional Development Committee, and served on several other working groups, including annual conference site and program teams. As an active participant on the NACUBO Innovation Council for three years, she worked with national and regional colleagues to identify professional development collaboration opportunities and articulate the professional development needs common to higher education business officers. 

As Associate Vice President for Finance in the division of Administration & Business Affairs, Green requires Financial Services managers to craft professional development plans to for each of their management and staff employees to assure competency and professionalism in the department.

According to Vice President for Administration Stephen Garcia, "Suzanne Green has made many contributions to both NACUBO and WACUBO, as well as to the CSU Financial Officers Association (FOA) in the areas of professional development.  Her "hands on" approach and her strong work ethic keep her current with the professional development and training needs for staff and managers."
