Welcome to Procurement & Contract Services
The University's Procurement & Contract Services provides the campus community with cost efficient and effective services for all acquisitions and contracting needs. To accomplish this, procedures have been established which provide for a smooth flow of incoming requisitions through the procurement cycle and delivery of supplies or services to the campus. The staff attempts to provide these services in a timely and courteous manner at all times. Ethics Statement.
Customer Support / Purchasing Staff Services
Our staff members are available to:
- Interact with suppliers in matters of price, quality, and delivery at both the sourcing and ordering stages of the procurement process
- Help identify alternative sources of supply through regular commodity reviews
- Conduct transaction or supplier specific contract negotiations with suppliers
- Assist departments with the development of specifications for required products and services
- Review supplier contracts for acceptable terms and conditions
- Resolve legal and risk management issues with the aid of the Office of General Council or the Office Risk Management which may arise during contract and purchase order negotiations
