Welcome to Administration & Business Affairs (ABA) at Sacramento State. The ABA division is a large, diverse organization, responsible for the financial stewardship of University assets. This includes controllership and reporting functions and auditing and internal controls, as well as planning and administration of the University's budget and fiscal oversight of the University's auxiliary organizations. ABA is ready to help the University meet the critical economic challenges common in today's higher-education environment, while at the same time assuring fiscal integrity and compliance with legal mandates and accountability requirements.
With responsibility for the University's capital planning, design and construction projects, and all facility services for the campus, ABA will play a vital role in helping Sac State meet the increasing enrollment demands of the future. ABA departments and units provide many other essential University services such as risk management, environmental health & safety services, procurement & contracts and public safety in support of the University's academic program.
ABA is proud to support the goals of Destination 2010. Destination 2010 promises to make Sacramento State a premier metropolitan university, the campus of choice for students, faculty, staff and the community, based on four major outcomes:
- Foster Excellent Academic and Student Programs
- Build a Welcoming Campus
- Create a Dynamic Physical Environment, and
- Develop Community Support
ABA wants to make a difference to the University and its communities by delivering services that are seamless, efficient and friendly. To that end, the division is involved in an aggressive strategic improvement effort linked to Destination 2010, promoting new and creative ways of serving its constituents.
To assure a competent and knowledgeable workforce, ABA supports the professional development of its staff and encourages affiliations with organizations that promote knowledge-sharing and professional integrity. ABA is committed to professional currency and ethical standards, and hopes to contribute to the University's community-building efforts through its local, regional and national affiliations.
