Facilities Services (Interim)
The associate vice president is the University’s key officer responsible for Facilities Services, a diverse organization with close to 200 employees in four functional units, including:
- Planning, Design & Construction
- Sustainability & Plant Operations (incl. Housing Facilities)
- Facility Operations
- Administrative Services
With primary leadership responsibility for facilities planning, construction, operation, maintenance and repair, the associate vice president has a strong commitment to sustainable building practices, energy conservation, waste reduction and other measures to help the campus uphold values that are “green.”
Facilities Services is focused on service to customers, with a central customer service office and a newly implemented approach that assigns managers to dedicated zones of responsibility. We support continual improvement of our processes and services to meet the changing needs of the campus community aligned with the mission and goals of the University.
