ABA: Supporting Your Success

Administration & Business Affairs (ABA) is Sacramento State 's major administrative division, supporting the University and its communities through the provision of primary business, finance, safety, facility, technical and logistical services.

ABA is committed to the delivery of the highest quality service to help advance the University's mission, goals and Destination 2010 initiatives. With that in mind, ABA is involved in planning for process and service improvements across the division.

We know that the key to our success is partnering with you, our service clients. In a large, institution such as ours, communication is key. As an agency of the state of California , we are governed by a complex policy and regulatory structure. Working with you, our University partners, we hope to make our business environment easy to navigate by clearly communicating requirements, simplifying procedures, learning about your needs, and working to design mutually satisfactory work processes.

One of the ways in which we are doing so is through Business Matters at Sac State . Launched in the fall of 2005, Business Matters is intended to help our campus partners understand and comply with our regulations, with the ultimate goal in mind -- efficient services to you. On our website, you will find simple guidelines for conducting various business transactions with Sac State . We will be expanding our list of topics. The first Business Partners Roundtable was held in October 2005, with a follow-up session in February 2006. With topics ranging from audit and insurance to travel and budget, we hope to provide the most current information to help our campus business partners succeed.
