GOVERNOR'S SAFETY AWARDS

Congratulations to our Facilities Management Professional Staff members, Robert Gardner and Pantaleon (JR) Sanchez, who received awards at the Governor's Employee Safety Awards Aug. 26 on campus.

Gardner (left), who works as a building service engineer in the Engineering Services department, was honored for his consistent willingness during 2004 and in previous years to go beyond the scope of his job description to study safety standards and correct dangerous situations. Sanchez (right), who works as an electrician in the Building Trades department, was honored for his courageous and meritorious actions to prevent the spread of a fire in a classroom.
