Making a Deposit

You may make a deposit to your Hornet Bucks account by:

1. Coming into the OneCard Center with cash or check.

The OneCard Center is located on the south side of Brighton Hall, facing the Library Quad. Please make all checks payable to: Sacramento State OneCard.

2. Sending in the OneCard Mail-In Deposit Form along with a check.

You can mail-in check deposits to the OneCard Center. Please make all checks payable to: Sacramento State OneCard. Your deposit will be applied to your account immediately if it is received during normal business hours.

3. Depositing cash at any Value Transfer Station (VTS).

Herky at VTS Machine

Making cash deposits is as easy as 1...2...3 at our convenient VTS machines. The LED display on the front of the machine gives you step-by-step instructions.

Your deposit is credited to your account and available for your use right away. You can also check your account balance at any VTS.

VTS Machines accept $1's, $5's $10's, $20's, $50's and $100's and can be found in the following locations:

  • The Student Union next to the SacLink terminals
  • The main floor of the Library, across from the circulation desk
  • The main floor of Lassen Hall, accross from Student Financial Services
  • Academic Information Resource Center Lab Room 2004
  • ECS Computer Lab RVR 2011
  • In the OneCard Center

4. Deposit to your OneCard ONLINE using CASHNet SmartPay.

You can make a OneCard deposit online using a debit card, e-check or credit card. CLICK HERE to be directed to the CASHNet website where you can log in using your saclink account to make a deposit.

You can also setup a Parent PIN to allow your parents or anyone else the ability to log in and make a deposit to your Sac State OneCard from home.

Students– How to Create a Parent Pin

  • Log on to MySacState
  • Go to your Student Center
  • Select Account Inquiry
  • Select the activity tab
  • Select the Make an Online Payment button
  • Select Parent Payment
  • Select the Add New link

Parents – How to Access CASHNet Online Service

*Deposits made through SmartPay are not posted to your OneCard account until the following business day. Deposits made Monday through Thursday will be deposited by 9 am the following day. Deposits made on Friday will be posted no later than Monday at 9 am.

Please Note:
*To check your account balances and view a detailed list of recent transactions log onto your My Sac State and select "OneCard Statement". All transactions are posted to the web the following day.
*Account statements may also be requested in person at the OneCard Center.
*Hornet Bucks accounts are debit accounts only.
*A refund check may requested only upon separation from the University.

To Check your account balances and where you used your OneCard, Log into your My Sac State. Then just click on OneCard Statement.

Deposit to your OneCard Online

Now students and parents can deposit funds directly into a OneCard Hornet Bucks using a Debit Card, Credit Card or E-Check.

STUDENTS: Click here to log into CASHNet SmartPay using your SacLink username and password.

PARENTS: Click here to log into the CASHNet Online Service using your "Parent Pin".
