OneCard Uses
Hornet Bucks
Hornet Bucks is an on-campus debit system administered through Sac State. You can deposit money onto your Hornet Bucks account which creates a prepaid declining balance service. Each time you make a purchase, the purchase amount is deducted from your account. Hornet Bucks do not earn interest and they carry over from semester to semester. Hornet Bucks are accepted all over campus and even at some off campus locations (see Where Hornet Bucks Are Accepted).
To check your Hornet Bucks account balances and find a list of where you used your OneCard, Log into your My Sac State. Then just click on OneCard Statement.
Library Use
Your Sacramento State OneCard is accepted at the Library to check out books and other materials. Just present your card at the checkout counter for easy check out of books and other library materials.
You can also use your OneCard at the Library Media Center to borrow laptops, check out CD's and Feature Films/Movies and take advantage of the slide projectors, overhead projectors and TV/VCR/DVD Viewing Rooms.
Commuter Pass
With your student OneCard and the current semester commuter sleeve, you can ride Sacramento Regional Transit buses, Light Rail, and e-tran (buses in Elk Grove) anywhere, anytime, for free!
University employees with faculty and staff OneCard's may purchase an employee transit sleeve from University Transportation and Parking Services (UTAPS) for their OneCard ($10 for six months) and also ride e-tran, RT and Light Rail at no additional cost.
Printer Card
Your OneCard also serves as your Printer Card. At the beginning of each semester that you are registered you will automatically recieve an allotted number of free black and white prints that are loaded into your OneCard's PrintSmart account. This allows you to print in the Sac State computer labs. After you run out of free prints all you need to do is use the money you've deposited on your OneCard Hornet Bucks account and you can continue to print.
Note: Your PrintSmart account is a separate account from your Hornet Bucks account and does not roll over to the next semester.
Free Admission to Athletic Events
Get in for free to all home athletic events and other various student activities on campus.

Discounts at Local Businesses
Show your OneCard at select local businesses to receive discounts. Check out the complete list of locations and what type of discounts they provide.
Photocopier Use
Photocopiers are available to students in the Library, the University Union and in the Lassen Hall lobby. All of these machines accept cash and OneCard Hornet Bucks.
Keep in mind that you receive a 40% discount when you use your OneCard Hornet Bucks instead of cash!
