The Campus Marketplace is comprised of CSU Campuses acting as a partnership. The marketplace affords faculty and staff the opportunity to purchase goods to support the academic and operational needs of their department.
We are responsible for the acquisition of goods and services for the campus community. Our services include initiation of purchase transactions, supplier relations, process guidance and facilitation; help with policy interpretation and compliance, and availability as an information resource.
The Contract Services Section of the Procurement and Contract Services Office provides a wide variety of services to campus departments, agreements executed on behalf of the University.
Central Receiving is responsible for the processing, sortation, and distribution of inbound shipments for campus staff and faculty. Warehouse staff verifies that purchase order items have been received in good condition, quantities verified, then delivers to college or department offices.
The Property Management office tracks State assets and equipment through a procedure of tagging new equipment acquisitions and adding them to the CSUS Fixed Asset database. In addition, the asset's make, model, serial number, description, location are also recorded. Assets include both Capital and Expensed property.
Procurement and Contract Services recognize the importance of being environmentally conscientious. We will reduce our negative impact on the environment through promoting and educating departments on the importance of selecting sustainable products and services and developing dialogue with our suppliers.
