The ABA Leadership Peer Award is an opportunity for ABA managers to recognize the contributions and achievements of other division managers during the year. Leadership Peer recipients exhibit one or all of the following traits: makes significant contributions toward the advancement of Destination 2010 goals that significantly impact the success of a committee; discovers new and improved ways of doing business; implements or recommends creative work methods or policies that result in savings, waste reduction, or additional resources; performs beyond the normal scope of responsibility; advances the University’s standing through participation in professional activities; promotes and advances division initiatives, actively engaging the campus community, or develops a model practice that has adaptability across the division or the CSU system.

The ABA Valued Staff Professionals Award is an opportunity for ABA managers to recognize staff professionals within their families whose outstanding contributions and achievements during the year advance the mission, vision and goals of ABA and the University. Awards are presented annually to staff members representing all ABA families.
Valued Staff Professionals contribute in one or all of the following ways: through dedicated service and professionalism; through direct work assignments or significant support of others in the division or on campus; by promoting the values of leadership, teamwork, respect, pluralism, service, ethics and integrity and proposing money-saving ideas or improving the quality of services.

The ABA Team Award recognizes a team or teams for contributions toward Destination 2010 goals. To qualify, a team must include at least three ABA staff professionals in its membership. Focus of the team should be on accomplishment of a common assignment, project, process/service improvement, or Destination 2010 goal.
