Sac State Commuter Pass

New! Spring 2009 Commuter Pass
Fall 2008 Commuter Pass, no longer used
The Sac State commuter pass will have a new look beginning Spring, 2009. The clear, plastic sleeves with commuter sticker previously used will no longer be utilized. Instead, a colored paper stock sleeve with the commuter pass valid dates printed on the front will be issued.
Current Sac State students, faculty and staff may ride Sacramento Regional Transit (RT) at a greatly discounted rate by obtaining a Sac State commuter pass. The Sac State commuter pass may be used to ride any RT bus or light rail train any time RT is in service. Additionally, RT sometimes has transfer agreements with neighboring transit agencies, such as Elk Grove’s E-Tran or Yolo County’s YoloBus, which allow Sac State commuter pass cardholders to ride those services at little or no extra cost. Please contact RT at (916) 321-BUSS to receive information on their most up to date transfer agreements. Note that RT transfer agreements are strictly between RT and other transit agencies.
Sac State commuter passes are valid January 1 – June 30 and July 1-December 31. Enrolled students have paid $7.00 for 6 months use of this service through their ASI tuition fees. Faculty and staff can purchase the commuter sleeve for $10 for each six month period. This is a great discount when you consider that a basic RT monthly pass is $100.00.
The Sac State commuter pass consists of the Sac State issued OneCard and colored paper OneCard sleeve. Any variation of the commuter pass will be deemed not valid and cardholder will not be allowed to board. The OneCard can be obtained at the OneCard office. The OneCard sleeve can be obtained from the OneCard office, Student Financial Services Center (SFSC) in Lassen Hall, Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) in the University Union or at University Transportation & Parking Services (UTAPS) located at 7667 Folsom Blvd.
