Student Positions Available at UTAPS

UTAPS employs approximately thirty (30) Sacramento State students in the Citation Appeals and Hornet Shuttle programs. We are always looking for students to fill these positions, but our main hiring time is toward the end of each semester for the following semester. Training is conducted prior to the start of each semester.

Applications are accepted all year. You can download an application or pick up a hard copy from the UTAPS office located at 7667 Folsom Blvd. 

Qualified Candidates

Applicants must be Sacramento State students enrolled in a minimum of six (6) units and hold a minimum 2.0 GPA. Qualified applicants should be interested in working during the Fall and Spring semester and will be positive, professional, friendly, and reliable.

Hornet Express Shuttle Driver

Driving for the Hornet Express Shuttle is an excellent student employment opportunity. Shuttle drivers earn the highest pay rate of any on-campus student job and receive valuable professional training and licensing that is transferable anywhere in California.

Requirements:

  • Hold California Driver's License for minimum 18 months with good driving record
  • Enrolled at Sacramento State taking at least six (6) units
  • Intend to remain enrolled at Sac State for minimum of two (2) semesters from time of application
  • Maintain minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Complete training and pass DMV Class B Commercial licensing test
  • Work minimum four (4) hours per week, up to twenty (20) hours
  • Pass a standard physical and drug/alcohol screening
  • Be punctual, reliable, and professional
