Ming-Tung “Mike” Lee, vice president for Administration and CFO since 2010, served temporarily as university provost and vice president for Academic Affairs by request from the President, and will return to his previous position on April 3, 2017. During his absence, one key administrator has been appointed to lead the division of Administration & Business Affairs and assume the responsibilities of the University’s chief financial officer (CFO).

Vice President for Administration/Chief Financial Officer (Interim)

Stacy Hayano, associate vice president for Budget Planning & Administration, will serve as the interim Vice President for Administration/Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective August 2016. The Vice President for Administration serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the University providing leadership to the Administration and Business Affairs (ABA) division. The division is comprised of Vice President Operations; Budget Planning and Administration; Administrative Services; Facilities Management; Financial Services; Public Safety; Risk Management Services; and the special office of Auditing Services. Stacy, in her interim capacity, also has primary oversight of the following campus auxiliary organizations and affiliate groups: the Alumni Association; Associated Students, Inc.; Capital Public Radio, Inc.; University Enterprises, Inc.; University Foundation at Sacramento State; and the University Union. 

Hayano has served as the associate vice president for Budget Planning since March 2009, where she has a key role in the University Budget Advisory Committee process, preparation of financial proformas for non-state funded projects, and direction of budget planning and administration for the campus. Hayano holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California State University, Sacramento.

Altogether, ABA departments provide the full range of administrative, business, financial and operational services supporting the University’s mission. ABA’s diverse set of functions and units is focused on service and support for campus business partners and University customers. The division promotes continual improvement of processes and services to meet the changing needs of the campus community aligned with the mission and goals of the University.
