Vice President for Administration/CFO

Ming-Tung “Mike” Lee is the Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer for California State University, Sacramento. The Vice President for Administration serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the University providing leadership to the Administration and Business Affairs (ABA) division. The division is comprised of Vice President Operations; Administrative Services; Auditing and Consulting Services; Budget Planning and Administration; Facilities Management; Financial Services; Public Safety; Risk Management Services; and University Transportation, Parking and Support Services. 

These department functions provide the full range of administrative, business, financial and operational services supporting the University’s mission. As Chief Financial Officer, he is also the primary responsible campus official for administrative compliance and fiscal oversight of the following campus auxiliary organizations and affiliate groups: the Alumni Association; Associated Students, Inc.; Capital Public Radio, Inc.; University Enterprises, Inc.; University Foundation at Sacramento State; and the University Union. 

Dr. Lee has more than twenty years of experience in public higher education as a professor and in senior and executive level management. Prior to becoming Vice President for Administration/CFO, he held positions of Professor; Faculty Senator; Chair of the Department of Management in the College of Business Administration; Special Assistant to the President for Planning; Associate Vice President and Dean for Academic Programs; and Vice Provost of Academic Affairs. 

He served one year as an ACE Fellow with the American Council on Education and participated in three leadership programs: The Harvard Institute for Management and Leadership in Education (MLE); Leadership Development Program for Higher Education (LDPHE); and Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP).

Dr. Lee holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Literature from Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan, 1983; a Master of Arts degree in International Commerce from the University of Kentucky, 1986; and a Ph.D. in Business Administration/Marketing from the University of Kentucky, 1990.
