The ABA Valued Staff Professionals Award Program provides an opportunity for ABA managers to recognize staff professionals whose outstanding contributions and achievements during the year advance the mission, vision and goals of ABA and the University.
Each ABA Management Council member is entitled to submit from one to three nominations for staff professionals within his/her family.
For the first time this year, each member may also submit up to one nomination for any ABA staff professional.
To allow adequate representation from ABA's larger families, the number of nominations submitted and awards presented may vary.
Each ABA Management Council member in the following families is eligible to submit up to one nomination for staff professionals within their respective family, and up to one award per family may be granted:
- Administrative Operations/Auditing Services
- Budget Planning & Administration
- Public Safety
- Risk Management Services
Each ABA Management Council member from the following families is eligible to submit up to two nominations for staff professionals within their respective family, and up to two awards per family may be granted:
- Business & Administrative Services
- Financial Services
Each ABA Management Council member in the following family is eligible to submit up to three nominations for staff professionals within the family, and up to three awards may be granted:
- Facilities Services
Finalists will be selected by the VP/CFO (in consultation with family heads).
Awards will be based on, and nominations should address, one or more of the following criteria:
| Contributes to the development of a welcoming campus for the University’s or ABA's internal and/or external communities through dedicated service and professionalism. | Contributes to the success of ABA in the campus community (or Sac State in the greater community) through direct work assignments or significant support of others in the division or on campus. |
| Promotes the values of leadership, teamwork, respect, pluralism, service, ethics and integrity espoused by ABA and the University. | Contributes toward more efficient or productive operations by proposing money-saving ideas, exhibiting exceptional fiscal responsibility, or improving the quality of services. |
