CSU 2009 QI Distinguished Service Award

Abbi Stone, Associate Vice President for Business & Administrative Services, is the recipient of the 2009 CSU Quality Improvement (QI) Program Distinguished Service Award. |
Abbi was selected by a committee of representatives from across the CSU for significant, long-term contributions to system-wide and campus QI program efforts, some of which are listed below.

Pioneering the start-up of programs on two campuses (San Marcos and Sacramento) and providing ongoing leadership and support for implementation and sustainability of campus programs.

Support for system-wide CSU QI programs and active participation in system-wide efforts, including two years of service as a member of the CSU QI Award Selection Committee.

Contributions to campus-wide QI efforts, as a member of the Sacramento State University Strategic Planning Council and visioning committee; and the Information Resources & Technology (IRT) Strategic Planning Committee and work groups.

Successful integration of QI at the department level, through strategic planning, process improvement, recognition and assessment, and the promotion of innovation, teamwork and customer service.
The award, presented on behalf of the CSU QI Planning and Steering committees, recognize individuals who distinguish themselves by going the extra mile to make CSU better for students, employees, and stakeholders. This is Abbi’s second award for contributions to the CSU QI Program. In 2004, Abbi received the CSU QI Champion Award.
