ABOUT ABA STRATEGIC PLANNING & QI
Strategic Planning & Quality Improvement (SPQI) is ABA's planning and quality improvement (QI) unit, responsible for division strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and supporting training plans, along with oversight of ABA's comprehensive website. ABA employs the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) to frame its strategic plan, based on four major perspectives:
- People
- Process
- Customer Service
- Stewardship & Image
SPQI also coordinates CSU-supported improvement activities for the campus, including:
- Systematic identification and transfer of best practices
- Quality enhancement strategies and frameworks
- Assessment of customer needs and satisfaction
- Process measurement and evaluation tools
- Outcomes assessment and performance measures
- Campus and/or system-wide collaboration
The Director of Strategic Planning & Quality Improvement is the campus Quality Improvement Facilitator (QIF), chair of the CSU QI Planning Committee, and a certified CAPE (Baldrige) examiner.
