ABA’s current strategic plan was developed to support Sacramento State’s Destination 2010 initiative launched in 2004. Using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) as its organizing framework, ABA’s plan focuses on four major perspectives — Customers, People, Processes, and Stewardship & Image. ABA periodically reviews its strategic plan to assure its relevance, and adjusts its planning processes to incorporate lessons learned. In 2008, ABA reviewed its strategy map to assure alignment with the University’s new Strategic Plan introduced in December 2007 and determined that it continues to serve as a meaningful roadmap for achievement of division and University’s goals. Based on a foundation of engaged, competent and informed employees, the ABA Strategic Plan supports financial and operational integrity, trust and transparency, operational improvements, campus safety, and development and beautification of the campus.
