Our Mission

The Second Year Success (SYS) Program's mission is to provide holistic and student-focused advising in an effort to increase retention and graduation for second-year students.

What We Do

For the past 6 years, SYS has provided students with the guidance, support, and necessary tools to succeed in college. Professional Advisors, Mentors, and Graduate Interns work alongside students to develop individualized academic, personal and social plans that help students meet their goals. SYS’s holistic and student-focused approach helps students strengthen their critical thinking skills while empowering them to successfully navigate the complex system of higher education.

Our services include: professional academic advising, major/career development, campus referrals, peer academic advising and mentoring, and academic strategies course.
