Q: What is F.R.O.S.H. Night?
A: F.R.O.S.H. stands for Freshmen Rockin' Overnight Shindig Hoopla. F.R.O.S.H. Night is the Sacramento State Orientation Overnight program that gives students the opportunity to stay in the Residence Halls, meet their fellow peers, and participate in various activities.
Q: What is the advantage of attending F.R.O.S.H. Night?
A: Students who attend F.R.O.S.H. Night will get aquainted with the campus sooner than student who do not attend. F.R.O.S.H. Night students will enjoy an entire evening with their fellow peers and Orientation leaders.
Probably the biggester perk of attending is having access to the Orientation Leaders for questions. Student who spend the night will have additional help putting together their class schedule. Students at F.R.O.S.H. Night are prepared for class registration on Day Two and usually get done MUCH quicker than those students who don't spend the night.
Q: Can I bring a guest with me?
A: F.R.O.S.H. Night is only for incoming freshman students. Parents and guests can refer to the Hotel & Transportation page to make their overnight arrangements.
Q: What are my F.R.O.S.H. Night fees paying for?
A: F.R.O.S.H. Night fees pay for your room (including lines/towels/pillow), dinner, the evening's activities, late-night snacks, staffing, and breakfast the next morning.
Q: What activities will I be able to participate in?
A: Past F.R.O.S.H. Night activities have been Peak Adventure nights, free movies, pool parties, karaoke, team and group building activities, and much more.
Q: Can I leave campus during F.R.O.S.H. Night
A: For safety reasons students are not permitted to leave campus. F.R.O.S.H. Night is a safe alcohol and drug-free on-campus event staffed by Orientation leaders. See the F.R.O.S.H. Night website for a listing of this summer's activities.
Q: What should I bring to the overnight?
We recommend you bring the following items with you:

Bathroom supplies (toothbrush, shampoo, etc.)

A change of clothes for the next day

Your swimsuit and beach towel

Shoes!! To participate in most of the events, students will need to bring sneakers or some other closed toe shoe. For the nights we are at the Aquatic Center, students will need to bring Teeva's, water shoes..etc. Flip flops will not be permitted!
