Transfer Orientation
Welcome to Sacramento State!
As a new transfer student, you have the opportunity to continue your education in an environment rich with opportunity. Since every university/college is different, your first step is to attend Transfer Orientation. During Orientation, we will help you evaluate your transcripts for General Education, meet with an advisor from your major, and register for fall classes. Students who attend Transfer Orientation register for classes before transfer students who do not attend.
With the help of faculty and advisors, we will help you plan your first semester courses. You will also have the opportunity to attend workshops given by various campus departments on topics such as housing, parking, public safety and careers. In a nutshell: We bring the University to you in one day. Orientation is your day to take care of all your business before starting classes in September. Here is what we have planned for you: Orientation Schedule
