Math Diagnostic Exam: Liberal Studies & Child Development majors are required to take two math classes. If you are transferring to Sacramento State but have completed one (but not both) of the math courses, you need to take the Sac State Math Diagnostic Exam. Any student wishing to take a Sac State math course, must take a diagnostic exam. You can elect to take the exam at orientation or take it the first week of classes in the fall. A study guide called Mathematics Diagnostic Tests, Sample Tests, and Study Guides with sample tests and answers is available. Visit the Math department for Diagnostic Exam information.
