Application Process
- Turn in application on or before Oct. 30 to Lassen 1010.
- Sign up for a group interview occurring throughout November.
- Individual interviews will take place in November/December
As a new Sac State student, you have the opportunity to continue your education in an environment rich with opportunity. During Orientation, we will help you prepare for your first semester and your journey toward graduation. Attending New Student Orientation is your first step in ensuring success at Sac State.
New Student Orientation occurs twice each year: June/July for students entering the fall semester and December/January for students entering the spring semester. The New Student Orientation program is where you will learn how to register for classes and receive academic advising.
Spring 2010 Students
New students planning to attend Sac State in Spring 2010 can now sign up to attend a three-hour Orientation session on December 4th or January 5th. These sessions will begin at 12:30pm and conclude at 3:30pm. During Orientation, we will provide you with a campus tour, evaluate your transcripts for transferable General Education courses, discuss important academic and graduation policies and procedures and review how to register for classes. New Spring 2010 students register for classes December 10 - 14. Attendance at Transfer Orientation is not required but HIGHLY recommended. However it is mandatory for all first-year students to attend Orientation.

Fall 2010 Students
New students planning to attend Sac State in Fall 2010 will attend New Student Orientation this summer. Transfer students attend in June and first-year students attend in July. New Student Orientation is MANDATORY for all first-year students. Specific dates and details will be available on this website in early February.
First-year students must complete their ELM/EPT before May 1, 2010.
