Orientation Reservations
New Student Orientation for fall 2008 students will take place in June, July and August. All reservations are processed on a first-come basis and can be made via the website. We do not take reservations over the phone.
Reservations are based on a student's major of interest. If your major has changed since you applied to Sac State - no problem. We want you to select your date based on your current major of interest.
Important note to Freshman students: Students cannot attend Orientation and register for fall classes without test score results from the Entry Level Math (ELM) and/or English Placement Test (EPT) or proof of exemption. If students are required to take the ELM/EPT exams, they would need to select an Orientation based on the following exam dates. A detailed list of sessions can be found HERE

If you will be taking the exams at another CSU campus after June 13, you will need to contact that campus to determine when test results will be available.

Transfers: $50
Parent/Guest: $40
Freshman: $70
Parent/Guest: $50
F.R.O.S.H. Night: $60 (optional )
What are my fees paying for?
Fees for Orientation cover the cost of staffing, lunch, parking permits for the day, the Advising & Registration Handbook, and program materials. Financial aid does not apply to Orientation fees.
Please note: Refunds can be given only if you request a cancellation in writing at least two business days in advance of your assigned date. For changes in reservations or cancellations, call (916) 278-7841.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR ORIENTATION
Register online here. Students have 10 business days to submit Orientation fees after making their reservations. Reservations over 10 days old without payment will be cancelled. Students will receive a confirmation of their assigned date AFTER payment of Orientation fees is received.

HOW TO PAY FOR ORIENTATION
By Credit Card: See the CASHNet Smart Pay link to the left. Log in with your SacLink ID. The balance will show as $0.00. Select the "Make Payment" option from the green toolbar at the top and select the appropriate amount and then proceed to check out.
By Check or Money Order: Checks can be made payable to Sacramento State Orientation. Include your Student ID number on the memo line and a copy of the confirmation page in the envelope. Checks can be mailed to:New Student Orientation, Lassen Hall 1010, 6000 J St. Sacramento, CA 95819-6134
