What to Bring to Orientation

Orientation check-in begins promptly at 8:00am in the University Union. You will need to park in Parking Structure 2, which is located next to the University Union and Bookstore. If you did not receive a confirmation letter, proceed directly to the HELP TABLE to get a parking permit and pay for Orientation.

The Sacramento State New Student Orientation program will be supplying you with a Registration and Advising Handbook, a New Student Guide, Student Planner and lots of reading material on campus events and services.

You need to bring the following to ensure we can help you plan the most appropriate schedule for your first semester at Sac State.

Transfer Students

  1. Unofficial copies of ALL transcripts from any previous colleges attended. Transcripts you submitted for admission are NOT available during Orientation. For advising purposes, we can use copies of transcripts downloaded from the internet.
  2. Catalogs from previous schools attended.
  3. Download the Transfer Orientation Checklist (requires Adobe Acrobat) to guide students in their preparation for Orientation.

Freshman Students

  1. Test score results for ELM/EPT, SAT, ACT or AP exams.
  2. Download the Freshmen Orientation Checklist (requires Adobe Acrobat) to guide students in their preparation for Orientation.
  3. Those students participating in F.R.O.S.H. Night will want to review the Overnight Checklist and pack accordingly.
