The purpose of the Student Academic Development Program fund, established with Sacramento State discretionary lottery monies and with additional funding from ASI, is to support activities that extend students’ educational experiences beyond the normal instructional environment. We encourage students from all academic disciplines to apply.

Individual students and student groups are eligible for these awards.  All group projects must be submitted as one application, with pertinent information for each student included.  For students attending conferences, only individual applications will be accepted, even if you are traveling as part of a group.  The “University Sponsor” signature is REQUIRED.

1. Attendance at a professional meeting or workshop in the major or related majors.  Note:  Tuition and membership fees will not be funded.
2. Development of a special curriculum-related project or presentation, which will be completed by May 1, 2016.
3. Participation in an academic competition or artistic performance.

Requests may include the costs of in-state or out-of-state registration fees and lodging, and in-state transportation only (i.e., airfare, gasoline).  If you are using a travel agency or booking your reservation online, lodging and transportation expenses must be listed separately. EXPENSES CANNOT INCLUDE MEALS.  Costs must be incurred in the semester in which the application is submitted.
