To date, CSUS has achieved the following programmatic outcomes

laboratory and pilot test the demand for an on-going

- Tahoe 1006/1007 was designated as the test site for a
24-hour lab.
- Collaborated with Facilities Management and Public
Safety on providing a more secure setting.
- Reconfigured space to accommodate some personal
amenities, e.g., coffee machine, etc.
- Installed video surveillance equipment and computer
controlled access doors.

Refreshed 310 workstations in the eight University open
labs and expanded workstation capacity by forty additional
spaces.

- Established equipment configuration for hardware and
software.
- Circulated the hardware and software specifications
for campuswide approval.
- Coordinated with Facilities Management, Colleges,
Services to Students with Disabilities, and CCMS units as
to renovation, furniture, and networking services.
- Sent out specifications to pre-approved vendors under
the CMAS and Community College acquisition program.
- Invited vendors to showcase equipment.
- Issued purchase order for 350 MHz PCs to IBM for a
campuswide total of 443 stations; and to Apple for
thirty-one Macintosh G-3.
- Installed 350 stations in open university labs.

Creating or refreshing eight discipline-specific labs
(one for each college, plus one for basic skills). Each must
accommodate no less than 30 student stations and an
instructor station.

- Agreed that equipment configuration and selected
vendor would be the same for open university and
discipline-specific labs.
- Requested colleges to identify new and/or current
facilities that would be recommended for BATS
support.
- Developed detailed discipline-specific lab
implementation process and program for the colleges.
- Coordinated with Facilities Management, Colleges,
Services to Students with Disabilities, and CCMS units as
to renovation, furniture, and networking services.
- Began renovation of three discipline-specific
labs.
- Completed installation of 31 stations in Lassen
Hall.

Expand baseline commitment and support for SacLink,
shared site software licensing, and "help desk"
inquiries.

- Shared software licensing has been specified and is
now included as a part of the baseline load.
- A job description has been prepared for a SacLink
ITC.
- Help desk management system has been procured and is
being operationalized.
- Modem pool has been expanded.

Establish formal relationship with strategic providers
for a direct purchase, lease/purchase, or loan procurement
