Freshman Seminar
Open to all first-time college students, the Freshman Seminar is a three-unit course that satisfies Area E of the General Education Program. Freshman Seminar courses also address strategies for success, campus resources, how to navigate the university, and how development as an educated person affects you, your relationships, and your involvement in the community. The course is offered through a variety of departments, all of which are listed as course number 21 (example: MGMT 21, EDTE 21, ETHN 21).
In addition to the benefits of all Freshman Programs, Freshman Seminars provide:
- Increased likelihood of success at Sacramento State
- More connection and comfort with campus
- Small class sizes (25-30), where faculty and students interact frequently
