INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS AND GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT

  • The Passport Place @ Sac State
    • IPGE has successfully launched the Passport Place @ Sac State on 11/1/2016. The Passport Place has been a welcome addition to the campus and local communities.  Since its opening, the Passport Place has processed more than 1,731 passport applications for Sac State students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the local community.
  • Study Abroad Scholarships
    • With the generous support of the President’s Circle and the Treis family, IPGE will be awarding $15,000 in Study Abroad Scholarships to Sac State students who will be studying abroad.  The first scholarship of this type, these funds are designed to support Sac State students who participate in the high impact practice of Study Abroad and contribute to the comprehensive internationalization of our institution.
  • Fulbright Scholars
    • Two Sacramento State faculty members have been awarded Fulbright Scholarships for the upcoming 2017-18 academic year. 
    • Dr. James Rae - Professor of Government - Beijing Foreign Studies University (China)
    • Dr. Jamie Kneitel - Professor of Ecology - University of Haifa (Israel)
  • Gilman Scholarships. Five Sacramento State Students were awarded Gilman  Scholarship during the 2016-17 Academic.
    • Mary Ly  - CSU IP – Yonsei (South Korea)  - AY 2016-17
    • Brandon Moua - CSU IP – Yonsei (South Korea) - AY 2016-17
    • Lyudmyla Nastasiychuk - Direct Exchange – Oxford Brookes – (England) - Spring 2017               
    • Micaiah Palmer - Direct Exchange – Gothenburg University (Sweden) - Spring 2017
    • Kang La Vang  - CSU IP – Yonsei University (South Korea) - AY 2016-17
  • One Sacramento State student was awarded a CSU IP Scholarship.  
    • Shatesha Morris - CSU IP – Ghana  - AY 2016-17
