Special Programs/Enrollment Analysis
Larry Glasmire is responsible for directing the university’s state-supported summer program. This includes consultation with the college deans regarding summer course offerings, coordination with Human Resources on faculty contract issues specific to summer, and coordination with several administrative units that support summer registration (e.g., Admissions and Records, Student Financial Services, Financial Aid). He also serves as co-chair of the Enrollment Management Advisory Team, a collaborative group representing Academic Affairs and Student Affairs. The advisory team provides input and recommendations to the Provost and Vice President for Student Affairs concerning all aspects of enrollment management and outreach. In this co-chair roll he analyzes enrollment trends, provides yearly enrollment reports to the Chancellor’s Office, develops enrollment scenarios used in setting annual enrollment targets and makes recommendations on multi-year enrollment projections. He also coordinates all enrollment reports for the system wide Enrollment Reporting System (e.g., ERSS, ERSA, sERSS, ERSD) and ensures that reports are accurate and timely. He serves as the university’s coordinator for EO665 policy implementation, the CSU system policy requiring in-coming students to achieve college-level proficiency in English and mathematics by the end of their first year. This includes a close working relationship with the campus Early Assessment Program (EAP) coordinator, English Department and Learning Skills Center. He also supervises staff in Academic Affairs that coordinate the preparation of the annual class schedule and bi-annual catalog. He reviews requests for some exceptions to Student Employment policy. Working with the college deans and other campus constituents, he works to develop evening/weekend degree programs and services to enhance the utilization of facilities in the evening and on weekends, and to inform students about the availability of these programs.
