Ming-Tung “Mike” Lee
Associate Vice President and Dean for Academic Programs
Dr. Ming-Tung “Mike” Lee is Professor of Marketing and his main areas of research and teaching are global marketing, marketing research, marketing planning, and strategic planning. Before joining Academic Affairs as the Associate Vice President and Dean for Academic Programs, Dr. Lee served as Special Assistant to the President for Planning and Placer Campus Project, and Chair of the Department of Management. Dr. Lee received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Kentucky in 1990 with emphases in marketing and international business. His Master of Arts degree was from the University of Kentucky in diplomacy, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in literature was from Tunghai University in Taiwan .
Dr. Lee has broad experience in strategic planning for higher education and marketing consulting. In 2001, he was selected as an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow, a nationally renowned and prestigious program for higher education leadership development. As part of the ACE Fellows program, Dr. Lee worked in Academic Affairs office of the CSU Chancellor's Office. During the year, his work focused on the California Master Plan for Higher Education, teacher education, academic planning, and campus strategic planning.
As AVP and Dean for Academic Programs, Dr. Lee serves the areas of graduate studies, undergraduate programs, general education, accreditation, liaisons with WASC, program assessment, program review, program and course proposal, and community collaboration.
