Greg Wheeler oversees the GE course review process, both at the proposal stage and in conjunction with area assessments conducted by the University General Education Policies and Graduation Requirements Committee, to which he is the administrative liaison. Greg is also the administrative liaison for the General Education Course Review Subcommittee. He is a contact person for faculty and students who have questions about the CSUS General Education Program. Greg reviews student petitions for substitutions to their GE patterns, and tracks student progress through University requirements such as the Writing Proficiency Exam (WPE). He reviews each semester's General Education course offerings, and consults with administrators on enrollment targets. He is responsible for the General Education information that is printed in the front section of the Class Schedule and the G. E. information in the School Catalog. Greg is the coordinator of all Freshman Seminar courses and has oversight of Learning Communities and the GE Honors Program. He works with community colleges and other universities to develop collaborative agreements and effective transfer programs. He approves special majors.
