Deficiencies in institutional educational assessment

Ensure alignment of processes and policies with the issues that are the focus of the WSCUC institutional report and review process

Propose plan for on-going University assessment of five core competencies.

Focus:

Assessment of written literacy.

Evaluation of data and preparation of report to campus.

Assessment of critical thinking and information literacy.

Assessment of graduate learning goals.

Development of 5-year plan for all competencies and policy proposal to Faculty Senate.

Operationalization of an expanded definition of student success (the Sac State experience).

Identification of improvements and goals for graduate education and educational culture.
