FACULTY LEADERSHIP CONSULTATION TEAM |
A. The Faculty Senate Approves the Creation of the Faculty Leadership Consultation Team of 8 members that will negotiate with the Administration on the “inter-related issues of how decisions are made, consultation, shared governance and leadership” as described in the Collaborative Assessment Report on Campus Governance, Culture and Climate-Goals and Recommendations. www.csus.edu/ccp/assessment

B. The Faculty Senate approves the a process for nomination and election which shall include consideration of 5 nominees from the Executive Committee and additional nominations from the floor of the Senate to provide for the election of the Faculty Leadership Consultation Team of 8 members. There shall be at least one member of the Faculty Leadership Consultation team from each of the following ranks: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Full Professor.
C. The Senate Executive Committee nominees for election to the Faculty Leadership Consultation Team are:

INFORMATION
1. Textbooks and UEI Bookstore
The Faculty Senate Executive Committee has referred the UEI Bookstore textbook ordering problems and other issue related to the UEI Bookstore discussed at the September 18, 2008 Faculty Senate meeting to the Faculty Policies Committee (FPC) for further investigation with the assistance of the Bookstore Advisory Representatives. The immediate action will be to provide intervention intended to avoid or mitigate the problems with adequate numbers of textbooks being ordered for the Spring 2009 term. The FPC will also work with the UEI Bookstore on longer-term issues concerning faculty and the Bookstore. The longer-term issues will be reported back to the Faculty Senate Executive Committee in Spring 2009 for further action as necessary.
