PRESIDENT GONZALEZ’S RESPONSE TO FACULTY SENATE’S POLICY ON INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM PRIORITIES: ACADEMIC PLANNING, RESOURCE ALLOCATION AND ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT, ENDORSEMENT OF

The Faculty Senate endorses the changes to FS 10-71 “Policy on Instructional Program Priorities: Academic Planning, Resource Allocation and Enrollment Management, Amendment of” as proposed by President Gonzalez in his memorandum of July 18, 2011 and in the accompanying attachments.

ACADEMIC PLANNING, RESOURCE ALLOCATION AND ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT, AMENDMENT OF

The Faculty Senate amends the policy on Academic Planning, Resource Allocation and Enrollment Management as follows:

With regard to the Academic Priorities policy, the committee charged with reviewing departmental documents should not take the form of a Select Committee of the Faculty Senate but should be a Senate Committee of seven, consisting of one representative of each academic College, with each College's representative to be selected (in accordance with local College policies for a selection of this nature) by the Academic Council or equivalent body of the College. All other duties and processes should remain unchanged.
