Administration & Business Affairs
Destination 2010

ABA Staff Professionals:

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT!

The managers from each of the ABA families would like to express their appreciation for your attendance at the ABA Destination 2010 meetings in December.  Your comments have been reviewed and compiled and are posted on our web pages at the links listed below.  We hope you will take a look and let us know how well these pages reflect your input.

We know that one of the major issues for staff is salary compensation.  While we are sensitive to those concerns, we do not have control over collective bargaining or state government budgetary decisions.  Because of this, we have chosen to exclude comments related to salary from these pages.  We do, however, want to make every effort to recognize the good work of the ABA staff professionals in those areas where we can make a difference, and this is where we hope to focus our attention.  We have also chosen to exclude comments regarding other areas external to Administration & Business Affairs.  Where this is the case, we will forward your suggestions to the appropriate administrator for consideration.

In response to your comments, we have simplified the language of our Destination 2010 plan, and we hope to make the process for reaching our goals clear and simple as well.  Further, we have organized Destination 2010 information using the four perspectives shown on the strategy map.  These perspectives will help us focus on the four major areas of importance to us -- People, Processes, Customers, and Stewardship & Image.

In reviewing your input, we are reminded that we have a dynamic, engaged and creative staff, and we are grateful to have so many great ideas from which to draw.  We hope to incorporate many of them into the ABA Destination 2010 action plans

Over the next few weeks, ABA department and unit managers will review staff input specific to your function and work with you to set priorities and select a number of goals for your area on which to work over the next year or so.   We will keep you updated as progress is made.

We would appreciate your feedback!  Please send your comments about the collective input of the ABA division to Sarah Whyte at whytes@csus.edu or Mail Stop 6038.
