Q: Is a reservation required?
A: Yes. You will need to select the time and date you plan to visit.
Q: Does my family get our own private tour guide?
A: Possibly! We allow up to 30 people on a tour, so you may be with other families.
Q: What does the tour include?
A: The tour includes the grounds of the campus, the Student Union and The WELL, along with information about the services, activities, programs, and educational opportunities available to students.
Q: What does the tour not include?
A: The tour does not include a tour of the residence halls or an opportunity to sit in on a lecture. However these options might be available by contacting the specific departments you are interest in. The Housing Department offers tours of the Residence Halls, visit their website for schedule and information.
Q: How long is the tour?
A: The tour is a one-hour walking tour.
Q: Is a tour given if it is raining?
A: Yes. We give tours rain, shine, hail and thunder.
Q: Where does the tour start?
A: Your tour guide will meet you in the Admissions Welcome Center in Lassen Hall, room 1100.
Q: How early should I arrive?
A: We recommend getting to campus 30 minutes before your confirmed tour time to allow time to purchase a parking pass, find parking and Lassen Hall.
Q: Do I need to pay for parking?
A: Yes. Parking permits are required and available at any permit kiosk. Look for the $ symbol signs on the campus map. A daily permit is $6.00 and a 2 hour permit is $3.00.
Q: Where should I park?
A: Parking Lot 1 is the closest to Lassen Hall, but fills up quickly. A purchased parking permit allows you to park in any student lot (do not park in faculty/staff areas).
