Admissions & Outreach

My name is Jacob Gonzalez, I am currently a junior here at Sacramento State soon to be a senior in Fall 2016! I am a Criminal Justice major pursuing a career as a California Highway Patrol officer. I began my journey here at Sacramento State as a freshman in the Fall 2013 semester and till this day it has been a blessing in disguise. I graduated from West Campus High School here in Sacramento and because I was interested in law enforcement it only made sense to apply to the nation's second largest university for Criminal Justice. Having Dr. Ed Mills as my first-year seminar instructor my freshman year had a significant impact on my journey here at Sacramento State. His class connected me to the vast amount of resources the university provides. Joining the Admissions and Outreach office as a Student Ambassador along with becoming a brother of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity were the result of learning about on campus opportunities. At Sacramento State I have learned that getting involved on and off campus will only benefit you as a student and eventually open a huge amount of networking opportunities for the future!
