Choices Alcohol Education Class

CHOICES classChoices is a non-judgmental, interactive alcohol education class for college students . The Choices program involves a 90-minute class facilitated by Sacramento State Peer Health Educators . Participants are asked to complete an anonymous, online alcohol use assessment and throughout the course students are presented with information about alcohol use and college life. Participants are then encouraged to reflect on the information presented as it relates to their choices about drinking.

The Choices program is presented in a non-confrontational manner that enables students to make their own decisions about alcohol consumption. Because the central focus of this program is to help students make informed choices the class is set up to provide participants with information and then they are asked to apply what they have learned in a series of self-reflective questions.

For more information or to refer a student contact Cyndra Krogen-Morton in the Student Health Center at 916.278.6026.
