Alumnus Eugene Villanueva ’06 (Vocal Performance) is a rising star in the opera world, and he credits Sac State for helping him define his goals, and for giving him the solid education background to succeed in that musical field.

You’re invited . . . networking mixer!
Wednesday, Sept. 10 

The Business Alumni Chapter is kicking off the fall season with a networking mixer at Der Biergarten Sacramento on Wednesday, September 10 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. Alumni from all majors are invited to participate. Your registration will include a free beer and appetizers. RSVP today!

Coaches Circle inductees to be honored

The Men’s Basketball Alumni & Friends Chapter of the Sac State Alumni Association initiated the Coaches Circle in 2012 to recognize alumni who left Sac State to pursue careers in coaching. They have individually been a positive impact not only on the lives of those they coach, but in promoting the sport of basketball.

Fourth quarter giving summary

Fourth quarter giving summary Sacramento State raised more than $1.3 million in gifts and pledges during the fourth quarter of the fiscal year (April 1 to June 30). Gifts supported students and programs in several areas, including the School of Nursing, Hornet athletics, the College of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies, the Veteran’s Success Center and others.

Keri Thomas, MPPA '96

The lines between Keri Thomas’ professional career and her volunteer activities are often blurred, and that’s just fine with her. Cultivating relationships and building bridges is part of her job as director of community and government relations for Sutter Health. Thomas is also an outgoing advocate for the Sacramento region and she’s eager to get involved any way she can.
